Hon'ble Mr. Justice, Laxman Oraon, first Lokayukta of Jharkhand.
Mr. Justice Laxman Oraon was born on 12th August, 1942. He completed his B.A. L.L.B. and joined Bihar Judicial Service on 04.04.1972 and serve in different capacity as a judicial officer, Legal Advisor-cum-Under Secretary Bihar State Housing Board Patna, and District & Session Judge at Sitamarhi, Dumka and Jamshedpur.
He was elevated as a Judge of Jharkhand High Court, Ranchi on 28th of January, 2002 and retired on 11th of August, 2004. After retirement He was re-appointed as Lokayukta Jharkhand State Ranchi. He took oath as first Lokayukta of Jharkhand on 4th of December, 2004 and retired as such on 4th of December, 2009.
